NNPC Limited issues warning over impersonation and fraudulent activity

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited has issued a public warning to individuals and businesses, both local and international, about a growing number of scams involving imposters falsely claiming to represent the organization.

According to the notice, these fraudulent actors have been soliciting fees under the pretense of arranging meetings with NNPCL’s board of directors, executives, and senior management. The company has clarified that such actions are completely unauthorized and illegal.

Foreign investors and international business entities have been particularly urged to exercise caution. NNPC advises that any suspicious approach should be reported to the appropriate authorities without delay.

“All legitimate engagements with NNPC Limited are conducted solely through our official channels or designated business units,” the company stated.
