REES Africa to walk against climate change May 5

A non governmental organization (NGO) that propagate actions against energy poverty and climate change, Renewable Energy and Environmental Sustainability (REES) Africa, has announced that it will stage a walk against climate change on Saturday, May 5, 2018 by 7:30 am.

The takeoff point is the Secretariat Bus Stop, Alausa, Ikeja Lagos State.

According to the founder, REES Africa, Yetunde Fadeyi: “This 5 kilometres walk against climate change is to create awareness and drive conversations about the effects of climate change in our society. We are also advocating sustainability in individuals and organizations in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 7 and 13.

She said further that the campaign will also feature actions and habits that encourage proper waste management and increasing the consciousness of people about the dangers of climate change.
