Siemens AG has organized a free online seminar series aimed at exploring the latest innovation in Acoustic Testing.

In a release signed by the organization, the 7-session series virtual event will begin today, May 25, and ends on June 15 between 2 pm and 3:30 pm.

Acoustic quality and acoustic design are key aspects of product performance. Sounds play a critical role in conveying the right message about a product’s features and functionality, and reinforcing brand image attributes. At the same time, regulations and competitive pressure are forcing manufacturers to limit noise levels and meet stringent noise-making or noise-limiting standards.

“Engineers need productive tools to design, refine and validate prototypes throughout the development cycle.”

Participants will discover how to address acoustic engineering challenges through Acoustic Testing Solutions. They will also learn the fundamentals of acoustics; how to acoustically certify products; identifying acoustic hotspots as well as how to
perform sound quality analysis by objective and subjective evaluations, among others.

Other highlights include: how to shape the interior sound and ensuring pedestrian safety by using Active Sound Design; How to do Pass-By Noise Testing and Engineering
Determine material properties by material testing; How to improve aircraft cabin comfort and fly over noise testing
7 Sessions are foreseen for this event.

Fundamentals of Acoustics will hold today, 25 May; Certification Testing: Sound Power, Sound Intensity, Material Testing holds on 27 May; Pass By Noise Engineering and Certification Testing comes up on 1 June.

Also, Sound Source Localization: Identifying the contributing sources will hold on 3 June;
Sound Quality Engineering will hold on 8 June; Active Sound Design: Shaping the interior sound and ensuring pedestrian safety holds on 10 June; while Aircraft Cabin comfort and Flyover noise testing will hold on 15 June.

All training sessions will hold between 2 pm and 3:30 pm.
