Benin Electricity Distribution Company, joined the rest of the world to mark the World Safety Day. The campaign which kicked-off at the head office of BEDC is geared towards improving the safety and health of young workers. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has reported.

The theme of this year’s campaign is “Generation Safe and Healthy”. The campaign is a collaboration between the world Day for Safety and Health at Work (SafeDay) and the World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) aimed at improving the safety and health of young workers and end child labour.

Through this campaign, all stakeholders are committed to taking proactive steps to achieve sustainable development goal (SDG) target 8.8 of safe and secure working environments for all workers by 2030.
