JEANNETTE, PA — Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) announced today that it has been awarded a milestone contract by Chart Ferox, a.s. (EU, Czech Republic), a subsidiary of Baker Hughes’ Chart Industries, Inc. (NYSE: GTLS), to supply a highly specialized liquid hydrogen (LH2) pump system. The engineered pump will be integrated into a high-performance hydrogen refueling trailer developed by Chart Ferox and to be tested later in Bristol UK. This contract marks EEE’s official commercial entry into the liquid hydrogen aviation infrastructure market.


The specialized equipment will directly support the activity of Chart Ferox, a.s., who is a Partner within the GOLIAT (Ground Operations of Liquid hydrogen Aircraft) project, a high-profile European consortium coordinated by aviation pioneer Airbus, comprising 15 European Union (EU) partners, and supported by the EU’s Horizon Europe framework (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101138379). GOLIAT is designed to mature, prepare standardization, and demonstrate high-flow LH2 handling and refueling technologies scaled for future large commercial aircraft ground operations to meet net-zero carbon targets.

Chart Ferox, a.s. selected EEE for the critical virtual-pipeline trailer technology because its hydrogen engineering team delivered the market's premier technical solution paired with dedicated, high-level support.

Initial engineering and design validation for the liquid hydrogen pump system are currently underway, with equipment delivery to Chart Ferox, a.s. (Czech Republic), while the refueller will be tested in Bristol UK later in 2028.
