Techfem, a multidisciplinary engineering company active in the energy sector for more than 40 years, is showcasing its expertise in the development of complex hydrogen-related projects from March 4 to 6 at KEY – The Energy Transition Expo 2026 in Rimini. The company is also participating in the collective exhibition organized by H2IT – Italian Hydrogen Association, whose Board of Directors includes Techfem’s CEO, Federico Ferrini.

Techfem is contributing its technical expertise through participation in two thematic sessions:
* From Hydrogen to E-Fuels: Development Perspectives in Key Sectors, Market Penetration Scenarios, and Early Projects,”** a session highlighting the potential of the multi-molecule market as a key driver for the energy transition.
* “Hydrogen: Past, Present, and Future Challenges,” a conference bringing together advanced research and industrial applications to address a fundamental question: how ready is the sector to become a fully-fledged industry?
In recent years, Techfem has experienced significant growth, establishing itself as one of the most dynamic Italian players in the transformation of the energy sector. This progress is built on a broad portfolio of expertise developed through the design of high-complexity infrastructure, including natural gas and green gas pipeline transportation and storage systems, as well as high-voltage power transmission networks within onshore and subsea mission-critical projects.
Leveraging this multidisciplinary experience, Techfem continues to support oil and gas companies in their transition toward more sustainable energy systems, contributing to the development of strategic infrastructure for decarbonization. Its portfolio includes engineering design for complex facilities as well as EPC turnkey projects, supporting clients from the initial concept phase through construction and commissioning.

Within the context of future energy infrastructure, Techfem is currently leading the development of onshore and offshore hydrogen pipelines across the EMEA region, helping to create the infrastructure necessary for hydrogen to be adopted as a large-scale energy carrier. At the same time, the company is engaged in the design of CO₂ transport networks in Italy and the development of international CO₂ pipelines—key components in enabling decarbonization strategies and CCUS systems.
Techfem’s growth is also supported by significant investments in research and development, with a strong focus on innovative technologies, digitalization, and environmentally sustainable solutions. The company closely follows developments in the electricity sector, particularly the trend known as Electrification of Everything (EoE), and has recently established a dedicated nuclear energy unit, recognizing that the energy transition requires an integrated, multi-technology approach.
