The initiative is in line with the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission goal of ensuring there is reliable and steady power supply across communities in the country through partnerships between Distribution Companies and Independent Power generators.
The CEO who was represented by Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Ikeja Electric, Mrs. Sequinat Akinwunmi, said the training was done in collaboration with the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and the Energy Training Centre (ETC).
Speaking on the partnership in Lagos, Ikeja Electric, Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Folake Soetan, said: “This partnership exemplifies Ikeja Electric’s desire to leverage innovation and technology to improve customer experience, so it is driven largely with interest of customers at the heart of our business.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo, gave the commendation at a ceremony organized to officially commission the Electrical Workshop of at Government Technical College (GTC) in Ikorodu, which was upgraded by the DisCo.
