These lines were temporarily shut down to facilitate the energization of the Bauchi Substation—one of the region’s largest. With reconnection completed, power supply to the Northeast was fully restored on June 19 at approximately 4:45 p.m.
TCNAs a result, bulk electricity transmission has resumed to the Jos and Yola Electricity Distribution Companies, which serve consumers across Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Damaturu, Adamawa, and Taraba States.The successful grid connection of the Bauchi substation enhances the reliability of electricity supply, offers alternative transmission routes, and strengthens emergency response capabilities across the region.
