Speaking ahead of the event, PCAN Chairman, Mr. Obas Esiedesa, said the conference comes at a critical time as the Federal Government pursues reforms and investments aimed at improving electricity supply, strengthening infrastructure and creating an enabling environment for economic growth.
“With Nigeria pursuing its ambition of building a $1 trillion economy, access to reliable and affordable electricity remains critical to industrial expansion, business competitiveness, job creation and improved living standards,” he stated.
Esiedesa said the conference would provide a platform for stakeholders to examine the relationship between the country’s economic ambitions and the performance of its electricity sector.
Discussions are expected to focus on power-sector reforms, investment opportunities, infrastructure development, financing mechanisms and sustainable strategies for improving electricity supply across the country.
The participation of the Minister of Power is expected to provide insights into the Federal Government’s policy direction, reform priorities and plans to address persistent challenges across the electricity value chain.
Similarly, the keynote presentation by the FGN Power Company chief is expected to highlight the company’s ongoing interventions, strategic priorities and role in the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen the sector.
