Jeannette, Pa. — Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) today launched its expanded Houston Center of Excellence, establishing one of the Americas' premier single-source hubs for turbomachinery repair, testing, and restoration. The multi-million-dollar infrastructure investment adds a 23,000-square-foot shop floor expansion, unifying full-scope rotor restoration, in-house over-speed spin testing, and multi-OEM component manufacturing under one roof to eliminate supply chain bottlenecks and deliver the industry’s fastest turnaround times.
Designed to accelerate service velocity, the expanded facility allows energy producers and process plant operators to complete total compressor, turbine, and rotor overhauls locally without shipping critical machinery to external vendors or overseas facilities.
Key operational capabilities now fully available at the expanded Houston COE include:
•Comprehensive Full-Fleet Restoration: Complete single-source repair, overhauls, and rerates for EEE and non-EEE rotating equipment, establishing a unified service hub for complex plant fleets.
•In-House Over-Speed Spin Testing: A state-of-the-art testing pit capable of mechanically validating impellers up to the 110M frame size (76-inch diameter), guaranteeing mechanical integrity prior to field re-installation.
•Advanced Metallurgical Welding: Industry-leading submerged arc welding and precision laser welding cells engineered to restore damaged shafts, impellers, and rotors to original OEM specifications.
•Total Fleet Reverse Engineering: High-precision 3D optical scanning and CMM inspection suites to rapidly engineer and manufacture replace-in-kind impellers and wear components for multi-vendor machinery.
•Strategic Forging Inventory: On-site stock of standard material forgings paired with in-house CNC machining and cylindrical grinders, ensuring immediate turnaround on critical replacement parts.
•Integrated Regional Ecosystem: Direct access to priority local partnerships for high-velocity oxygen-fuel (HVOF) coatings, specialized surface treatments, and five-axis milling.
