Husk Power’s portfolio is growing in Nigeria. The Colorado, USA-based renewable energy provider is commissioning six new hybrid solar mini-grids of 50 kWp each. The installations serve six rural communities in Nasarawa State.
CrossBoundary Energy Access (CBEA) and Engie Energy Access are joining hands for electrification in Nigeria. The two companies are committed to developing a portfolio of grid-equipped solar mini-power plants for the electrification of rural communities. Engie plans to deploy mini-grids to power 150,000 people.
The programme aims to support access to clean energy by increasing the financial viability, and promoting scaled up commercial investment, in renewable energy mini-grids, with a focus on cost-reduction levers and innovative business models.
